Dordogne in July

Yup, I know. I don't seem to have got the hang of this blogging lark very well. This isn't exactly real time blogging. Anyway....

We had a great week in the Dordogne at the end of July. We stayed near Sarlat-la-Caneda, a very pretty town.

The children liked meandering through the streets and shopping for an hour or so. After that it was "too hot" or they were "too tired". So we spent a lot of time enjoying the pool.

A great break though. The Dordogne is a lovely area, with a great climate and the landscape does give a sense of the earth's history. How long must it have taken for the rivers to erode the land to produce such spectacular scenery?
